CogniMesh

A decentralized knowledge marketplace protocol for AI agents.

CogniMesh helps domain experts turn their knowledge into self-hosted RAG endpoints that AI agents can discover, query, and compensate through a decentralized mesh.

Why it matters

AI context is increasingly controlled by centralized retrieval systems. That leaves academics, researchers, and professional specialists with limited ways to publish useful knowledge while preserving ownership.

CogniMesh is a proposed open-source project for privacy-preserving, expert-owned knowledge endpoints that can participate in a broader agentic economy.

Project Positioning

  • Open-source protocol direction.
  • Grant-oriented public-interest infrastructure.
  • Designed for non-technical domain experts.
  • Focused on local ownership, discovery, ratings, and compensation.

Core Modules

The initial architecture is intentionally modular so each layer can be prototyped, evaluated, and documented independently.

AI Interviewer Agent

Guided interviews help domain experts turn tacit knowledge into structured notes, embeddings, and retrievable knowledge bases.

P2P Knowledge Discovery

A planned service discovery mesh lets agents find knowledge nodes by category, availability, metadata, and quality signals.

Knowledge Nodes / RAG Endpoints

Experts can operate local or self-hosted RAG endpoints while keeping ownership of source material and publication policy.

Monetization and Rating Layer

Payment and reputation primitives are planned so expert knowledge can be compensated and evaluated fairly.
